** Fall Wreath **

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a long time since I last "blogged" anything. I have gotten lazy... I haven't gotten lazy from crafting, though! Never that! Just from blogging...

I wanted to share with you all a recent project I made. One of my "besties" has just moved into a new house, and I wanted to make her a housewarming gift. I came up with a wreath as the basis for the gift; and with it being full-on Fall and all, I decided to go with these fall colors. I think my wreath came out great!

Isn't is beautiful?!? Maybe I'm tootin' my horn here, but I think this is pretty cool! :)
This was the first project of it's kind that I have attempted so far; I did it all in one shot (took me 5 straight hours!) and all from scratch. Another interesting tidbit- I used a crochet hoop for the actual foundation. Worked really well!

I have only recently been introduced to "rosettes" or "accordion medallions". Thats what these main circular pieces are called around the net. I just love how these have such a simple look with such a bangin' impact. I added some sprays of glittered leaves and mulberries to top off the Fall look.

Here's a picture of it in front of a white background for better viewing:

I can't claim this wreath to be exclusively Fall- inspired, though. From right down to the green and red glittered buttons, to the green and red pattered-paper smaller rosettes, this wreath could most certainly pass for Winter / Christmas decor.

Now, you know I couldn't just leave this project in limbo without linking it up to a few challenges, right?! :)
These are the challenges I entered this project into:

More Than Favors - Create a Fall project
The Paper Variety - Create a home decor project
Crafts 4 Eternity - Autumn-Inspired project
Crazy 4 Challenges - Fall project

Well, I hope that you all enjoyed this and have gained some crafting inspiration from it.

Thanks for checking it out!

** Happy Easter / Spring ! **

Good morning, all:

Back again with a lil' ditty of a card. Easter / Spring is now among us, and I was feeling mighty inspired by it all lately.

It was practically time for me to try to go to bed last night when the mojo to make a cute Easter/ Spring card just hit me! Like WHAM!

With my eyes closed I practically could have pulled together all the supplies I knew I was going to need for this card. The mind just wants what it wants sometimes! No shuffling through my paper packs, or embellishments, no sifting and searching for the right pieces to use. I had a vision almost instantly and it all came together so well.

Doesn't it always happen like that?? You try to calculate all the factors of a "perfect" card in advance, and usually always spend more time searching for all the right ingredients than you do actually making the cake. Then, BOOM, when you least expect it (and always super close to bed time when you really shouldn't be stimulating your mind into a frenzy and should just be trying to wind it down for the night) all the right inspiration and visions just fit together with ease and totally compel you to create!

Well, here it is:

"Easter-y, and Spring-y", right?? :)

** Lil' Apple Worm **

Evenin' all'
I'm here with another card I just made. This digi stamp is soooo cute to me. I don't particularly love  worms, or am too crazy about apples, but I just love this lil' guy in his lil apple home!

Isn't he cute?!
This square card's base was cut at 6 1/2" x 6 1/2", the digi stamp cirle was cut at 3" in diameter, and the scalloped circle behind at 3 1/2".

Though it may be hard to tell from this picture, the red thin strips down the middle of those top layer rectangles is actually a red ribbon, with a white decorative ribbon underneath.

Of course I entered this guy into some challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenges - "Lots of Layers"
Paper-Crafting Journey - " Use a Freebie"
Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge - "Say it out Loud"
Suchin's - "All Things Adorable"

Hope you enjoyed.

** Sassy Glam **

Hi, everyone:

Back with one more card for the night. This digi stamp image is one I just HAD TO HAVE! I think it's so fun! It was so sassy, glamorous and sophisticated to me that I just had to make it the complete center of attention on a card. I had one of my best friends in mind when I created this card. Her birthday is coming up, and she's surely a sassy, glamorous and beautiful chick herself; so this image just screamed her name to me. You know who you are, girl!

I had so much fun coloring this one. And of course the "glam" effect had to be there with tons of sparkle, and glitz! I used double-sided tape along all the sides of the card, and then adhered 1/4" strips of glitter paper over the tape as a sparkled border. For the hoop earrings I used self-adhesived flat sequined stickers. I love how those earrings came out :)

I of course am going to enter this beauty into some challenges, here they are:

Allsorts Challenge - For a Special Lady

Suchins - Anything Goes

Cute Daisy May - Glitter & Glitz

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Birthday Card for an Adult

Paper Playtime - Anything Goes

Incy Wincy Designs - Sparkle & Shine

KB Challenges - Food & Beverage

I hope she likes it as much as I do! And hope you all liked it too :)

** Sweet Baby **

Hi again, everyone,
I'm on a roll again. I've been pumping out cards! Sometimes you just get an urge to purge the craftiness inside! :) I've got a case of crafter's bulimia!

I wanted to make a card using this digital stamp image because I thought the image wasjust so sweet.

This little baby reminds me of the famous photos of  babies in pea pods and leaves that we all have seen at one time or another. Spring is definetly in the air here in southern CA, so this image just felt right to use now. The spring season has encouraged me to use what I feel are spring colors: bright green, rose pink, and some various yellows.

And as you all could have expected, I am entering this card into some challenges this week; here they are:

CES Challenges - Use Die cuts

 Little Claire's Designs - Pink & Green

Suchin's - Anything Goes

Lexi's Creations - Ribbon (no bows or knots)

Paper Playtime - Anything Goes

Incy Wincy Designs - Sparkle & Shine

Hope you all enjoyed.
